CORE
C.O.R.E. and Firearms Safety Courses
C.O.R.E. stands for Conservation and Outdoor Recreation
Education. Anyone wanting to get a hunting license for
the first time must have passed this course.
CORE (hunter training) and Canadian Firearms Safety
Courses (CFSC) are periodically offered at the club.
Cost of the CORE course is $120.00. The firearms
portion is only $90.00.
Challenge exams are $20.00 for CORE and $25.00 for CFSC.

PAL (formerly FAC)
P.A.L stands for Federal Firearms Possession and
Acquisition License which replaces the former Firearms
Acquisition Certificate (F.A.C.).
Anyone who wished to buy, borrow, trade or obtain by any
means a firearm is required to possess a PAL. A person
who only wants to keep the firearms he or she has must
have either the acquisition or possession license issued
by January 1st, 2001.
In order to obtain the acquisition license a person must
pass both written and practical firearms handling
exams. The cost of the exam is $25.00.
